“I expect the American side to request an extension of the stay of the tanker aircraft at the airport.
US tanker aircraft are stationed at Vasil Levski Airport. They are there under a decision of the Council of Ministers of the Zhelyazkov cabinet, with permission to remain until the end of May. I expect the American side to request an extension of their stay at the airport.
In this regard, yesterday I held a conversation with the American president and with Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. During my conversation with Trump, I firmly raised the issue of removing US visa requirements for Bulgarian citizens. I expect this matter to be considered as a matter of urgency.”

This was announced by Prime Minister Rumen Radev at the beginning of the government meeting.
“As we have already announced, we are beginning an administrative reform with two important goals — increasing efficiency and reducing expenses. I want to state clearly that there will be no mass dismissals leading to a loss of administrative capacity and legal risks.
There will be no layoffs or restructuring before a preliminary review of the structures and functions has been carried out and without an in-depth analysis. In this regard, we are establishing a Council for Administrative Reform chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Donev,” he also announced.
Finally, the prime minister did not miss the opportunity to highlight DARA’s tremendous success at Eurovision:
“The entire week is now marked by the tremendous Bulgarian success at Eurovision — a success that goes far beyond the dimensions of musical art. And it depends on us to make the most of it.

For us in the government, there is no time for emotions, because the preparation in terms of scale and organization is enormous, requiring not only financial resources but also a tremendous amount of coordination. Therefore, we are creating an interdepartmental organizational committee chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Hristov, which will include the relevant ministries.”
“Later this week we will invite DARA, her team, and the leadership of BNT for coordination on all these issues,” Radev added.
